My 1965 Falcon Ranchero

  • I have had this car since I was 14 years old. My Father and I rebuilt the whole car together.
  • We painted it 1993 Ford Mocha frost, in our garage as a learning experience. It lead painting 2 other cars and 3 boats!
  • It sports a Mild Built 289, built by me! It was my first engine rebuild. The motor specs are as follows: 1967 289 bored .040 over, 9:1 compression, Forged TRW pistons, Windsor Jr. Dart Heads(1.94 , 1.60 valves), a Mild Erson TQ30 Bumpstick with 290 advertised Dur. and 226@.050. .493 lift. Its topped off with a Performer RPM intake and a Holley 650 DP Carb.Mallory Comp 9000 Distributor.Hedman Headers.
  • I installed a Tremec 5-Speed Tranny in it, along with 3.40 Gears with a peg-legger(Non-posi)
  • I used to Drag Race this car every week at the local track, but now I get side tracked with the boat. Its best time so far is a 13.65 @ 102mph.
  • At the moment this is my only tow rig to and from the lake, but it seems to get the job done.I made a hidda hitch behind the bumper, so you can't tell I tow with it. I just get a lot of weird looks when towing a boat bigger than the car/truck.
  • I will try to post some older pics of the car soon!
